Auction starts: September 21, 2019 at

Douglass, KS
The Brilliant Period Cut Glass collection of Gerard (Gerry) and Jean LaCroix of New Hampshire, who collected glass for over 25 years, features the all-time most colorful assortment of Cut Glass Woody Auction has ever sold. While being on assignment in Belgium for several years, the LaCroix's developed an incredible passion for Val St. Lambert glass created during the brilliant period of 1880-1930. This offering is one of the foremost collections of VSL ever offered at public auction. Making a special appearance in the collection are some very important American pieces including a fantastic Dorflinger Green to Clear vase and a rare large Dorflinger Rich Cut clear vase. Stevens and Williams also makes a strong showing, including two very rare stoppered decanters with cutting attributed to famed Stevens and Williams artist Joshua Hodgett. Over 90% (this is Not a typo) of the items featured in this auction are color cut to clear or cut to vaseline, including several triple-color items. It is highly unlikely that an auction with this variety of Brilliant Period colored glass will occur again. We encourage everyone to make their plans today for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! As always at Woody Auction, there are no reserves. There is also no buyer’s premium for those in attendance (when paying with cash or check)!*
