(2) French Cruciform Bayonets - 25.5"

(2) Bayonets W/Scabbard - 25.5" - Brass Handle with Spring Release Mechanism - Both in Good Condition, One Grip Has Been Bent - (1) Marked "N403" - (1) Marked "B82543" - NOTE: In 1886 France adopted the Lebel repeating rifle, together with an epee bayonet. The design and locking system is noteworthy. In 1893 the press stud was altered, resulting in the Model 1886/93. In 1916 the hook quillon ceased to be manufactured and the hilt was changed to brass from silver alloy to enhance manufacturing efficiency. The final WW1 version was the 188/93/16. The scabbard remained unchanged. The Lebel rifle was the standard firearm for the French infantry in WW1. - Tip of one has a slight bend
