The Princess and the Seven Bogatyrs, Russian Legends Collection plate
Backstamp 1988 Vinogradoff Porcelain. This is plate number A 2439 in the only authorized edition of The Princess and the Seven Bogatyrs' by Aleksandr Ivanovich Kovalev. Inspired by a poem by Alexander Pushkin.
Second issue in the Russian Legends collection, the first collector's plate series ever produced in Russia. The Princess and the Seven Bogatyrs' was created from a true Palekh lacquer original painted in extreme detail solely for this edition by Master Artist Kovalev. This plate is produced in layers of pigment and gold in an edition limited to a maximum of 195 firing days.
